HBO Max Adds Model and Skateboarder Evan Mock to 'Gossip Girl' Reboot Cast
The pink-haired multi-hyphenate will join Tavi Gevinson in the anticipated remake.
UPDATE (October 6, 2020): HBO Max has announced a new addition to the cast of its anticipated Gossip Girl reboot. Skateboarder-turned-model Evan Mock will join the show as a series regular alongside previously announced cast members Tavi Gevinson, Emily Alyn Lind and Whitney Peak.
The pink-haired Hawaii native began skateboarding at 12-years-old and got his big break after meeting artist Tom Sachs, who introduced him to Frank Ocean. After Ocean posted a video of Mock to Instagram, his following took off. Since then, he’s starred in campaigns for major brands including Calvin Klein and Saint Laurent. He’s even gone behind the lens, photographing Travis Scott on tour as well as Justin Bieber‘s latest Drew House campaign.
HBO Max’s Gossip Girl reboot will premiere sometime in 2021.

The former fashion blogger, who rose to fame during the early 2010s, will be joined by Zion Moreno of Claws, High Fidelity‘s Thomas Doherty and stage actor Adam Chanler-Berat. Gevinson previously starred in Broadway play This Is Our Youth, and has also made guest appearances on TV shows Scream Queens and Parenthood.
