Prada Donates Six Intensive Care & Resuscitation Units to Milan’s Hospitals

Italy now has over 24,700 confirmed coronavirus cases.

On March 16, Italy reported a total of 368 devastating deaths in just 24 hours due to the coronavirus pandemic. According to Vicethe country’s civil protection chief, Angelo Borrelli, also announced 3,590 newly confirmed cases, bringing Italy’s total number of infected individuals to 24,747.

In the wake of recent news, Prada‘s co-CEOs Miuccia Prada and Patrizio Bertelli have made an emergency donation to Milan’s hospitals – Vittore Buzzi, Sacco and San Raffaele – by providing two complete intensive care and resuscitation units to each establishment. Other members of the luxury fashion community have been responding to the outbreak such as LVMH, which recently announced that it will be producing free hand sanitizers for French health authorities.

Stay tuned while we wait for more updates on COVID-19. In related news, here’s a list of retail stores closing in response to the pandemic.
