Brighton Zeuner Unveils Her First-Ever Vans Collab, Featuring an Exclusive Old Skool Pro
Also an apparel range with a baby tee, body suit, bucket hat and more.
At the young age of 14 years old, Brighton Zeuner already had two X Games gold medals to her name and was lauded as a skateboarding prodigy. Now, one year later, Zeuner is a two-time Vans park terrain skateboard world champion, and continues to be an inspiration to young skaters around the globe. With a slew of titles under her belt, the young athlete now unveils her first-ever Vans collaboration, which highlights a selection of both footwear and apparel.
On the inspiration behind the collection’s design, Zeuner explains:
“I have a different style every day, but my dream was to create a collection that I personally like, and that other girls and guys would enjoy, too. I picked the primary colors because it reminds me of being a child and being young – those are my happy colors, if you will.
My favorite part of designing this collection with Vans was taking thrift items or clothes in my closet that I love, and using them as inspiration to create some of the dream pieces that I’ve always wanted. I’ve worn Vans since I first started skating, and it’s crazy to say I get to work with a company I’ve admired from such a young age.”
The new collaborative range includes a rework of the Old Skool Pro, reimagined with Brighton’s design using primary colors. Constructed with a suede-and-canvas combination upper, Duracap technology is also incorporated into the trainer to reinforce high-wear areas, as well as optimal durability. The new addition also features PopCush foam cushioning, which provides the wearer with impact protection and better energy return.
On the apparel side of things, the pack comprises of a baby tee, cami body suit, BF hoodie, skirt, Authentic Pro Pant, bucket hat, low-top crew sock and a colorblock backpack. Each item has been adorned with a bright floral pattern embroidered with delicate detail – the graphic is inspired by a doodle in Zeuner’s grade school notebook.
The Brighton Zeuner x Vans capsule is available now at vans.com, as well as at select Vans retailers. You can take a closer look at the collaboration in the gallery above.
