Daniel Arsham Reveals Upcoming Collaboration With Pokémon x Uniqlo UT

The first of his many projects set to release this year.

For its latest collaboration, Uniqlo UT has partnered with Daniel Arsham and Pokémon to create an upcoming partnership that is set to run throughout the year.

Arsham revealed the collaboration on Instagram with a short animated clip featuring Pikachu and a large sculpture of itself, created in the artist’s signature style. The video follows Pokémon‘s early aesthetics from when the show first debuted, juxtaposing Arsham’s modern and contemporary style with retro visuals. Arsham goes on to write that he is “the first visual artist to be granted access to the Pokémon Archive,” as well as noting that he’s been working with the company and its animators for over a year.

The Uniqlo UT collaboration will be the first capsule out of a vast lineup of Daniel Arsham x Pokémon projects that will be revealed later on. The collection is set to release globally on April 24 online at Uniqlo’s website. Stay tuned as the pieces are yet to be revealed.
