Pangaia Relaunches Its Sustainable "Seaweed Family" Collection
Made out of seaweed fiber, certified organic cotton and natural peppermint oil.
For its latest drop, Pangaia has relaunched its “Seaweed Family” collection featuring three new shirt styles. Arriving in minimal colorways such as “Black,” “Off-White,” “Sand” and “Stone,” the garments in the range have been created out of seaweed fiber that is carbon neutral and 100 percent biodegradable.
Designed for a relaxed fit, the long-sleeved T-shirt, long-sleeved cropped T-shirt and cropped T-shirt are made out of saltwater seaweed and GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified organic cotton. Additionally, the pieces have been treated with natural peppermint oil to keep the material fresh. This procedure also reduces water waste by up to 3,000 liters over its lifetime, compared to the production of a regular T-shirt. Take a detailed look at all the silhouettes in the gallery above.
