Kering and Its Houses to Donate $1 Million USD to Support Healthcare Workers in the U.S.

Including Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga and more.

Following its previous donation with LVMH, Kering has now partnered up with the CDC Foundation to provide vital supplies to assist healthcare workers in the U.S. amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The luxury goods company and its houses – Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Brioni and more – will collectively donate $1 million USD to the foundation.

The large contribution will aid frontliners via the CDC Foundation’s Emergency Response Fund. According to a press release, the organization’s initiative “allows for the deployment of flexible resources to fulfill priority response needs where appropriated funds are not available or cannot be deployed quickly enough.”

Supplies will specifically be donated to highly impacted states such as New York, New Jersey, California, Florida, as well as locations in Latin America. Additionally, Kering will also support A Common Thread, CFDA and Vogue‘s relief fund, as well as Kerby Jean-Raymond‘s “Your Friends in New York.”

In related news, Tiffany & Co. has also donated $1 million USD to COVID-19 relief funds.
