Debuted virtually due to the postponement of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tbilisi.
With the semiannual Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tbilisi postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, Georgia‘s local designers are showcasing their latest collections online for the Fall/Winter 2020 season. SITUATIONIST, an emerging label led by Irakli Rusadze and Davit Giorgadze, has unveiled a range of structural pieces focused on tailoring this time around.
For those unfamiliar, SITUATIONIST is known for its avant-garde designs that rose to fame after Bella Hadid was captured wearing the brand in 2017. The label breaks gender boundaries and norms by dressing female models in boxy tailored suits and male models in more feminine materials such as chiffon.
Staying true to its gender-neutral style, the brand’s FW20 range sees a selection of structural blazers and jackets crafted with panel details. Asymmetry is found in items like red leather overalls and a black jacket, while puffy, voluminous sleeves complete chic looks. The collection is rounded off with versatile wardrobe staples such as striped shirts, which are branded with SITUATIONIST’s logo placed at the back yoke.
