Take a Closer Look at the Nike "BeTrue" Pride Collection
Including a rainbow Air Force 1, Air Max 2090 and more.
In honor of Pride Month, Nike has launched the “BeTrue” collection, four footwear styles adorned with emblems of the LGBTQ+ community. Furthering its commitment to equality, Nike is also awarding 20 grants totaling $500,000 USD to organizations championing LGBTQ+ rights.
The Air Force 1 “BeTrue” is inspired by New York City ballroom culture in the ’80s, expressed as a holographic Swoosh, rainbow flag on the midsole and rainbow-stitched heel mark. The Air Max 2090 iteration mixes panels of violet, green and burgundy while the Zoom Pegasus 37 is printed with a rainbow gradient grid. Lastly, the black Air Deschutz “BeTrue” features hidden colors on the interior of criss-cross straps.
