Agenda With Beats by Dr. Dre's New Episode Features Tiffany Calver, Maya Jama & Ray Blk

Talking about being a woman in the UK music scene, and advice to young girls looking to pursue a career in music.

For its latest episode of Agenda with Beats by Dr. Dre, Big Zuu has tapped Maya Jama, Tiffany Calver and Ray Blk to talk about being a woman in the UK music industry, their experiences as well as advice to young girls looking to pursue a similar career path.

In the episode, we hear from Maya Jama who chats all about the gender pay gap as well as her story coming up in the scene, Tiffany Calver who talks about her grandma as well as how she came to meet Drake, and lastly Ray Blk, who shares her story on harassment within the industry. “I feel like for me now sadly I have decided to act in a way where I don’t go to sessions by myself anymore, which is really out of character because I like to roll solo,” said Ray, adding that, “Now if I’m working with another male artist or male producer I’m gonna come with somebody and make sure they’re there at all times so I feel safe and your not in a position to hit on me inappropriately and make me feel like I have to flirt along with you to make you feel comfortable even though your making me feel uncomfortable.

Listen to the interview with Big Zuu, Maya Jama, Tiffany Calver and Ray Blk on Agenda with Beats by Dr. Dre above, and catch our interview with Tiffany Calver here, while you’re at it.
