300 Drones in Seoul Remind Everyone to Wear Masks & Wash Hands
Raising awareness to fight the coronavirus pandemic.
While South Korea has been able to flatten the curve of new confirmed coronavirus cases, the government is continuing to stress the importance of washing hands and wearing masks to prevent a potential second wave of infections. Three hundred drones lit up the night sky above Seoul‘s Han River last week to remind and encourage citizens to remember that we are still fighting a pandemic.
The drones were programmed for a 10-minute-long show titled “Thanks & Hope,” displaying figures highlighting social distancing, washing hands and wearing masks. Aiming to provide motivation for all, the event also showed gratitude for medical professionals fighting at the front lines during this time. “Thanks to you. Cheer up, Korea,” the drones spelled out, ending the show by creating the shape of the South Korean flag.
