Whippd Cosmetics Launches Nude Lip Gloss Collection Catering to Black Women

Restocking on July 7.

On July 1, beauty and skincare brand Whippd Cosmetics launched a new range of nude lip glosses specifically for Black women. Dubbed the “Coco” collection, the makeup products instantly sold out on the day of its release after going viral on Twitter.

The 100 percent organic and cruelty-free glosses come in six rich and creamy shades – “Latte,” “Butterscotch,” “Brown Sugar,” “Amaretto,” “Java” and “Truffle” – that complement the complexions of women of color. The label’s founder, Rachel Robins, shared how difficult it can be to find the perfect nude shade for a Black woman in a press release: “My experience of trying to find the perfect nude lip color to match me was always unsuccessful. I would often have to mix my own shades. I know other Black women have encountered the same issue while shopping for the perfect nude.”

Due to popular demand, Whippd Cosmetics has announced that it will be restocking the “Coco” collection on July 7 exclusively on its website at 8 p.m. EST, along with additional new items that address its customers’ specific needs.
