Places+Faces, Casablanca, Mowalola and More to Participate in 2020 Homecoming

The digital event will support Nigerian designers in partnership with Browns.

A fashion festival focusing on championing African designers, Metallic Inc.‘s Homecoming has unveiled that it has partnered with Browns for a digital activation this year instead of an offline event due to COVID-19. The virtual project will be featuring the likes of Places+Faces, Casablanca and more.

Dubbed a “festival of cultural exchange,” Homecoming helps facilitate conversations between the global and Nigerian community, providing a platform for various creatives. For its 2020 online event, it will be putting emphasis on Nigerian labels, giving designers access to international distribution. Browns will be stocking Homecoming-aligned brands at its website, as well as its Shoreditch store in London.

During the event, Metallic Inc. will be releasing a limited-edition E-zine featuring global creatives, and will also host a series of panels and keynote presentations. This year’s Homecoming line-up features brands like Places+Faces, Casablanca, Mowalola, Heron Preston, Patta, Off-White™, 3.PARADIS and more.

You can learn more about Homecoming at the festival’s website. The upcoming digital event will be launching at Browns on August 26. A percentage of the sales made via Browns will go towards supporting the Nigerian creative community.
