Knix Launches Super Leakproof Underwear for Carefree Period Days
The undergarment can hold up to eight tampons worth of liquid.
A Toronto-based lingerie label known for its minimalist style, Knix has now added a new Super Leakproof Underwear to its lineup of comfortable, daily undergarments. The panties can hold up to eight tampons worth, or eight tablespoons, of liquid, making that time of the month a little more bearable.
Founded seven years ago, Knix has developed its products built on multiple stages of research and experimentation to deliver the most absorbent items in the market. Capable of taking 40ml of liquid, the panties can replace disposable menstrual products, making the product extra desirable for its eco-friendliness. Featuring the label’s signature three-layer technology, the underwear piece is made with moisture-wicking, anti-odor cotton along with moisture-lock protection, making the garment easy to wear for workouts or during the summertime.
“On average, women use between five and 15 thousand disposable period products throughout their lifetime. Super Leakproof has the potential to eliminate this undue waste and flip the $35.4 billion USD feminine hygiene market on its head,” Knix’s founder Joanna Griffiths shared in a press release. “It’s time for women to stop trashing their period, and say goodbye to disposable products, without sacrificing sustainability for reliability.”
