MATCHESFASHION Unveils Graphic Face Mask Collection With Wedel Art Collective
All proceeds will be donated to COVID-19 and artist relief charities.
In support of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, MATCHESFASHION has teamed up with the Wedel Art Collective on a collection of face masks where 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to those affected by the virus. Made out of ethically produced 100 percent cotton and designed by six international leading artists – Jenny Holzer, Rashid Johnson, Barbara Kruger, Raymond Pettibon, Lorna Simpson and Rosemarie Trockel – each mask represents the collaborator’s distinct style and highlights the need for community action amid the world’s current state.
According to a press release, half of the earnings from the sale will be allocated to the United Nations‘ COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for WHO. The other 50 percent will go to two artist relief charities – Artist Relief Coalition and Common Practice – that are dedicated to aiding artists whose livelihoods have been affected by the pandemic.
Take a closer look at the offerings in the gallery above. The masks will be available on August 24 exclusively at MATCHESFASHION.
