Hood By Air Releases First Capsule Collection Since Relaunch
The brand also announced a short film, coming this fall.
Just one month after returning from a three-year-long hiatus, Shayne Oliver‘s Hood By Air has released its first capsule collection. Curated by Museum, the brand’s archival initiative, the first portion of the two part release commemorates HBA’s history and riffs on graphics previously introduced by the brand.
Made in Japan and Italy, “H13A” — a nod to HBA’s 13-year-long history — reissues the brand’s “Cookie” and “Spiral” graphics. A new design, the “Matrix” logo, is introduced alongside throwback designs printed on heavyweight cotton hoodies, T-shirts and long-sleeve crewnecks. A pair of socks and a limited-edition poster top off the drop. Slated for release in September, the second part of the capsule includes outerwear, pants and a hoodie.
The brand has also announced an upcoming short film, Genesis, that will present HBA’s forthcoming collection (if it weren’t for the pandemic, said collection presumably would have been shown at New York Fashion Week).
Head to the Hood By Air website to shop the “H13A” capsule collection and stay tuned for the Genesis release date.
