Palace Taps British Artist Duo John Dove & Molly White for Statement Prints
Seen on faux fur jackets, bucket hats and more.
As spotted in the streetwear label’s Fall/Winter 2020 lookbook, Palace has teamed up with British artist duo John Dove and Molly White for a range of bold prints splashed onto street-ready garments. Highlighting the creatives’ impact on the late ’60s pop culture, the collaboration features bold pieces to complete statement looks this upcoming season.
Known for their punk style, John and Molly have been at the forefront in diverse realms spanning from fashion to music, with stars including Paul McCartney, Iggy Pop and Mick Jagger having worn their designs. This time around, Palace has dressed its pieces in the duo’s signature LIPS print from the early ’70s. “The LIPS is one of our instant coffee ideas that was spun out in a couple minutes in 1973,” John and Molly shared in a press release. “[It was] made from lips torn from film-star faces in the pages of magazines that were always lying around our studio — then pasted onto the blackboard. It was an impulse – like good sex.” The collection includes long-sleeved tees and pants, as well as highlight items such as faux fur jackets and bucket hats.
