ORIGINAL STORY (September 10, 2020): Having released her first independent album In the Name of Love late last year, CL is finally returning with more music for her fans. After a series of teasers released over the past few weeks, the K-pop star has revealed the official release date of a new video dubbed +POST UP+.
Captured in six introductory videos and imagery by photographer Cho Gi Seok, CL dons statement outfits styled by her close friend and collaborator Juju. Key pieces include a patterned set by rising designer Paolina Russo, along with a long orange puffer coat and blue waterproof vest by Central Saint Martins and YEEZY alum, Dingyun Zhang. Her looks are complete with glam by makeup artist Oh Seongseok.
While not much has been revealed regarding the release, the short teaser clips are accompanied by captions that will presumably be included in her upcoming tracks: “Honey, world is mine ain’t no running from it,” “2NE1, my past, my forever blessing,” the artist mentions her previous team members Sandara Park, Park Bom and Minzy. In the official poster, the singer’s side profile is pictured, along with “POST UP” text placed at the center. The visual hints that the music is written by CL herself with production by Baauer.
Stay tuned as we learn more about CL’s comeback. +POST UP+ is slated to arrive at 1 p.m. KST (12 a.m. EST) on September 14.
