Y-3 Equips Its SS21 Collection With Rainy Season Outerwear
Crafted from weather-resistant materials including GORE-TEX.
adidas and Yohji Yamamoto‘s collaborative label Y-3 has returned with a brand new collection for the Spring/Summer 2021 season. For its first chapter, the range explores the notion of “tsuyu,” the Japanese term for “rainy season.”
Designed to withstand rainy conditions, the parkas, hoodies and knitwear are infused with weather-resistant materials, and feature other fabric options like GORE-TEX. In accessories, multi-functional bucket hats, caps and bags can be found in the line.
As for the footwear offerings, silhouettes like the Y-3 SHIKU RUN, Y-3 ORISAN and Y-3 HICHO have been given a monochromatic update. The SHIKU RUN boasts a layered mesh and nylon upper, allowing the Three Stripes to be seen through the transparent design. The ORISAN comes with an exaggerated heel, while the HICHO sports a clean white leather upper and a thick platform midsole.
Chapter 1 of Y-3’s SS21 collection will be available worldwide via adidas’ website, in-stores and select retailers on January 25.
