The biggest lineup ever.
Having announced his return to the Paris Fashion Week schedule, Guram Gvasalia unveiled an expansive collection of 165 looks for Vetements‘ Fall/Winter 2021 season. Continuing its disruptive influence on the fashion industry, the Switzerland-based label showcased peak maximalism through Matrix-inspired garments for men and women.
With a fiery red sky and a stairway-to-heaven-like image serving as the backdrop, the overwhelming amount of garments all arrive with bold design details. Keeping true to the Vetements brand, T-shirts, caps and blazers are emblazoned with loud statements, including: “Think while it’s legal,” “Today your life will be better” and “Fashion is my profession,” just to read a few.
As usual, disruptive elements take the spotlight, such as a slit on the back of a ribbed knit dress that reveals the wearer’s long hair. Meanwhile, denim jackets covered with flame-like graphics and box-shoulder shirts with minimal branding add extra contrast to the collection. Further adding to the range are slouchy bomber jackets as well as extra-long leather coats, rhinestone detailing and more.
