New Korean Horror Series 'Hellbound' Tops Netflix Charts

Becoming the most-viewed TV show on the streaming platform.

Following the global success of Squid Game, Netflix has dropped another anticipated K-drama series titled Hellbound. Upon its release on November 19, the horror series has quickly topped the charts, becoming the most-viewed TV show on the streaming platform.

For those who have yet to watch the series, Hellbound — directed by Train to Busan‘s Yeon Sang-ho — is based on a webtoon of the same title. The story is set in a fantasy world where supernatural creatures drag humans to hell. The six-episode series features a star-studded cast including Yoo Ah-in, Kim Hyun-joo, Park Jeong-min and more.

According to Korea JoongAng DailyHellbound became the most-watched Netflix show in 24 regions including Korea, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Belgium, while ranking third in the United States.
