Tiffany & Co. Releases $150,000 USD Advent Calendar
Covered in Jean-Michel Basquiat’s “Equals Pi” artwork.
Tiffany & Co. has launched what may be the most extravagant advent calendar of the year. In partnership with the estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat, the jeweler has created a 4-feet tall white oak cabinet covered in the late artist’s “Equals Pi” painting.
The partnership follows Tiffany & Co.’s “ABOUT LOVE” campaign, which features Beyoncé and Jay-Z standing in front of the same artwork. The giant-sized calendar is packed with 24 Tiffany Blue gifts. The luxury brand has yet to reveal what is actually in each of the compartments, but the 2019 calendar included pieces like the 18k Gold Triple Drop Earrings ($4,600 USD) and a Sterling Silver Harmonica ($695 USD).
The entire 2021 advent calendar retails for $150,000 USD at Tiffany & Co.’s web store. In addition to the launch, the brand is donating $250,000 USD from the proceeds to Free Arts NYC.
