Jordan Brand Celebrates Chinese New Year With a Luxe Air Jordan 6

Get ready for the Year of the Tiger.

Every year, the Nike family of brands honors Chinese New Year with limited-edition drops. If you recall, the Swoosh celebrated The Year of the Ox with a Dunk Low, Air Max 2090, Air Zoom SuperRep 2, Kyrie 7, Blazer Mid ‘77, Air Max Verona, Blazer Mid Rebel, Chuck 70, Air Jordan 1 Low, Air Jordan 5 Low, Air Jordan 35 and Jordan Delta Breathe.

As we approach the Year of the Tiger, images of a luxurious AJ6 have begun to circulate. The Air Jordan 6 Low “Chinese New Year” comes with a mostly white upper with metallic gold adding glamor to the midsole, heel, branding and trim. Metallic silver adds even more shine to the pair, arriving front and center on the shoe’s tongue. An icy sole completes the elevated look underfoot.

While an official release date has yet to be announced, you can expect the AJ6 “Chinese New Year” to hit the SNKRS app and Nike retailers sometime in February 2022.
