Following a violent robbery that happened last week.
UPDATE (March 1, 2021): Following a violent robbery on February 25, Lady Gaga‘s french bulldogs, Koji and Gustav, have been returned to the artist unharmed. Gaga’s dog walker, who was shot during the theft, is recovering at the hospital. “I am humbled and grateful that attention and focus from the police were enough to get Koji and Gustav back to safety,” he wrote in an Instagram post.
As shared by the Los Angeles Police Department, an unnamed woman brought the pets to a local police station. Representatives for Lady Gaga were able to identify the animals. “LAPD Robbery Homicide Detectives will continue to investigate to ensure the persons responsible are ultimately arrested and brought before justice,” the LAPD concluded its statement.
Although the identity of the individual who returned the pets is unknown, sources state that she was uninvolved in the theft.
ORIGINAL STORY (February 25, 2021): Lady Gaga‘s french bulldogs, Koji and Gustav, were stolen during a walk on Wednesday night. The pop star’s dog walker was reportedly shot shortly before 10 p.m. by a male gunman who took the two dogs and fled in a white sedan. CNN reports that the walker — whom police has not publicly identified — was transported to the hospital in stable condition and, according to a source, is “recovering well.”
A representative for Lady Gaga also told The New York Times that the singer is offering a $500,000 USD reward for information on her dogs’ whereabouts. “Anyone with information should email KojiandGustav@gmail.com,” the representative said. Gaga herself has not yet commented on the theft.
