Punk Meets Prep in Our Legacy's FW21 Collection
Creative director Christopher Nying looks to his hometown, Husqvarna, for inspiration.
Following its coveted Stussy collaboration last year, Our Legacy has now returned with its Fall/Winter 2021 collection. This time around, the Swedish imprint blends punk styles with boarding school-inspired looks.
Taking to the local music and fashion scene in his hometown Husqvarna, creative director Christopher Nying styles leather jackets, loose-fitted suits and more with details such as bold eyeliner looks and stud earrings. Select outfits are complete with reworked vintage garments, including a moto jacket paired with a leather sarong and trousers. The runway additionally features mud-dyed silk, cozy shearling and corduroy.
Nying’s interpretation of the punk scene is seen through the use of contrasting textures on the unisex styles. Leather pieces are matched with ribbed knit sweaters, while corduroy meets Swedish tweeds. Standing out from the collection are a sheer sweater vest and a plaid shirt paired with a red leather jacket. Rounding out the range, Our Legacy’s printed denim makes a grand return for a casual touch.
