Sabrina Carpenter Drops Emotional Music Video for Latest "Skin" Single
Featuring ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ star Gavin Leatherwood.
Singer, songwriter, actress and designer Sabrina Carpenter has released her newest music video for her single “Skin,” which dropped last month. Directed by Jason Lester, the Island Records-signee stars alongside Chilling Adventures of Sabrina‘s Gavin Leatherwood.
“Maybe we could have been friends/If I met you in another life/Maybe then we could pretend/There’s no gravity in the words we write,” Carpenter sings as she stares out the window on a rainy evening. Throughout the visual, Carpenter and Leatherwood share romantic moments in a retro-themed, dreamlike setting. According to Vulture, “Skin” is “largely seen as a response to Olivia Rodrigo‘s ‘Drivers License.’” The publication adds: “The video is rife with references to her alleged love triangle with Joshua Bassett and Rodrigo.”
