Netflix Launches Its Own Version of TikTok Dubbed Fast Laughs
Available on iPhone devices in select countries.
Following the footsteps of other social media platforms like Instagram and Snapchat, Netflix has announced the launch of its app‘s TikTok-like feature called Fast Laughs. The new function displays funny clips from the streaming giant’s comedy catalog including movies, TV shows and sitcoms, as well as bits from stand-up comedians like Kevin Hart and Ali Wong.
“We’re always looking for new ways to entertain and make discovery easier for members,” Netflix’s director of product innovation Patrick Flemming said in a statement. Currently only available on iPhone devices in select countries, the new function can be accessed by clicking on the Fast Laughs tab at the bottom menu. “Clips will start playing – when one ends another begins, to keep the laughs coming,” as per Netflix.
