2021 Oscars: Here's the Full List of Academy Awards Nominations

Films including ‘Minari,’ ‘Nomadland’ and ‘Judas and the Black Messiah’ snag multiple nominations.

Following multiple COVID-related delays, the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences has finally announced the full list of 2021 Oscars nominations. Set to air on April 25, the awards ceremony will take place in-person at multiple locations in Los Angeles. Dynamic husband-and-wife duo Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas will host.

Notable nominees for Best Picture include Minari (whose Golden Globes win stirred controversy), Promising Young Woman, Judas and the Black Messiah and Nomadland. Emerald Fennell (Promising Young Woman) and Chloé Zhao (Nomadland) will compete for Best Director, marking the first time two women have been nominated for the category.

Leading the pack with 10 nominations is Netflix‘s Mank, which scored major nods for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress and Best Actor. Minari, Nomadland and Judas and the Black Messiah each received six nominations, along with fellow frontrunners The Father, Sound of Metal and The Trial of the Chicago 7. Viola Davis and the late Chadwick Boseman are up for Best Actress and Best Actor for their roles in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, while Oscars newcomer Maria Bakalova of Borat Subsequent Moviefilm garnered a nomination for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.
