Anthony Vaccarello's Winter 2021 Saint Laurent Collection Is Filled With Attitude
’60s-inspired looks unveiled at a series of magical locations.
For Winter 2021, Anthony Vaccarello took the socially distanced runway game to the next level by showcasing his Saint Laurent collection at a magical location filled with nature. Titled “Where The Silver Wind Blows,” the range was revealed through a cinematic film capturing glitzy ’60s-inspired looks.
“Serious matters push you to take other things less seriously, finding the balance while staying on the edge is a sophisticated aptitude,” the designer explains in a statement. Channeling “a girl in a landscape where she doesn’t belong,” the collection is set in a surreal backdrop of a gigantic waterfall, icebergs and more.
The opening look set the attitude for the show, featuring a metallic bodysuit paired with a tweed jacket and skirt ensemble. The glitzy theme continued on a series of outfits in a variety of shades ranging from purple and pink, to red and brown. Elsewhere, models strut down the runway in leather numbers, including knee-length shorts paired with long boots. Further standouts include knit cardigans as well as fur trimmings found on blazers and skirt hems.
