A virtual show honoring Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.
In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AAPIHM), 88rising has tapped a slew of artists for a benefit concert dubbed “Asia Rising Together.” The star-studded roster features the likes of CL, NIKI, AUDREY NUNA, mxmtoon and more.
Following up on last year’s “Asia Rising Forever” event, the upcoming show is comprised of musical performances, poetry, meditation and more. “This is a really unique livestream centered around family and culture. I filmed part of my set with my mom and sister, and being able to share our Japanese roots on this platform is really special to me,” participating musician Audrey Mika shares in a press release. “I hope this shows everyone you can chase your dreams, stay true to yourself and be proud of who you are in the process.” In addition to the performances, “Asia Rising Together” will spotlight a variety of AAPI businesses and organizations while donating proceeds to Asian Mental Health Collective.
The show will additionally feature Bizzy, Tiger JK, yoonmirae, eaJ of DAY6, Ocean Vuong, Dumbfoundead and more. See the full lineup below, and head to platforms like Facebook and YouTube to watch “Asia Rising Together” at 7 p.m. PST (10 p.m. EST) on May 26.
