sacai Taps Tomo Koizumi for Ruffle-Covered Bag Collaboration
Fusing the two designers’ aesthetics together.
Shortly after her Fall/Winter 2021 collection, Chitose Abe has revealed sacai‘s first-ever partnership with Tomo Koizumi. Creating a collection of ruffle bags and legwarmers, the duo has brought their aesthetics together for statement-making accessories.
The capsule – arriving in the colorways “Green Mix,” “Orange Mix” and black – is comprised of bum bags and totes in large and small sizes. Taking inspiration from sacai’s military-themed designs, the fanny pack is complete with black and khaki-colored waist straps, while the totes feature top handles with crossbody styling options. Meanwhile, the legwarmers are complete with elastic banding on either end.
Peep the collaborative designs above. The Tomo Koizumi x sacai accessories will launch on June 4 online and at select locations such as Dover Street Market Ginza and PARCO Shinsaibashi. Retailers in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, London and the U.S. will also stock the pieces.
