Scandinavian Furniture Brand Varier Debuts Its Variable Chair in New Colors and Fabrics

In collaboration with Oslo-based architecture firm Snøhetta.

Varier, a Scandinavian furniture brand, has teamed up with Oslo-based architecture and design firm Snøhetta to reimagine its iconic ergonomic work chair dubbed the Variable. The sleek furniture piece now comes in a variety of fabrics and colorways.

Initially released back in 1979, the chair features a curved runner that allows gentle rocking motions, while the tilted seat provides the user with an open-angle sitting posture. Available in a range of tones including “Yellow,” “Orange,” “Red,” “Rose,” “Green,” “Blue,” “Neutral,” “Grey” and “Black,” the Varier textile collection is comprised of 47 materials crafted by Kvadrat.

You can now purchase Snøhetta x Varier’s Variable chair priced at €349 EUR (approximately $425 USD) online.
