Virgil Abloh Designs re(new) Water Dispenser for evian
Sleek and sustainable.
For his latest project as the creative advisor for Sustainable Innovation Design at evian, Virgil Abloh has created a sleek water fountain dubbed re(new).
The dispenser comes with not a bottle, but with a five-liter “water bubble.” The entire design is crafted from 100 percent recycled plastic, while the outer layer of the “bubble” is made using 60 percent less plastic than a standard 1.5-liter evian water bottle.
The simple yet efficient design allows water to be dispensed through the contemporary base. After use, the unique “bubbles” can be collapsed, which allows for reduced packaging and carbon emissions.
Take a peep at evian’s latest release above. The re(new) fountain, priced at €49.90 EUR (approximately $61 USD) for the dispenser and €8 EUR (approximately $10 USD) for two five-liter “bubbles,” is now available for pre-order in France with delivery expected in July. Those based in the UK can head to select Tesco stores to purchase the item.
