We're Dreaming of Getting Dressed in Louis Vuitton's Cruise 2022 Accessories

Vibrant handbags, color-blocked boots and more.

Following his Fall/Winter 2021 runway featuring a much-talked-about Fornasetti collaboration, Nicolas Ghesquière has now returned with a new Louis Vuitton collection for the Cruise 2022 season. The range was presented as a short film shot at Paris‘ Axe Majeur sculpture park.

“It’s a very optimistic, joyful collection. There’s a jubilance to it,” the designer shared in a conversation with Vogue, reflecting the positivity and hopefulness of returning back to normalcy as more parts of the world are getting vaccinated. The optimistic mood is seen on the space- and nature-themed designs with bright hues of red, blue, green and more taking over the runway.

Accompanying the vibrant garments in dynamic silhouettes are accessories that are just as exciting. Large hobo-style bags are dressed in hues of pink with LV’s flower motif printed in blown-up form, while smaller purses are accentuated with oversized chain straps. As for footwear, boots are spotted in color-blocked themes with zigzag detailing.
