Nike Taps Skate Shop FTC for Japanese Bathhouse-Inspired SB Dunk Low
Arriving as part of the Swoosh’s 2020 Tokyo Olympics-themed releases.
For its latest collaboration, Nike has teamed up with San Francisco-based skate shop FTC to rework the SB Dunk Low. Arriving as part of the Swoosh’s 2020 Tokyo Olympics-themed releases, the design takes inspiration from Japan‘s bathhouses.
The shoe comes in a bright blue shade on the suede upper, which is contrasted with white leather overlays on the mudguards, lacing system and quarters. Tile-like textures are added to resemble the floors of bathhouses. Elsewhere, the Swoosh gets a metallic makeover on each side, complementing the bright yellow hue on the heel tab and collar. FTC’s logo adorns the rear and footbed, while Nike’s SB branding is stamped onto the puffy tongue.
Take a closer look above. Priced at $100 USD, the FTC x Nike SB Dunk Low is expected to drop later this July via Nike’s website and SB stockists such as The Berrics Canteen.
