Pat McGrath Labs Has a Stunning New Palette on the Way

Pat McGrath — AKA Mother Makeup — has announced a duo of swoon-worthy new products set to release next month. The legendary artist has unveiled Mothership IX, a 10-pan eyeshadow palette, and the Intensifeyes Artistry Wand, an eyeshadow primer and enhancer.
Mothership IX, the latest in McGrath’s line of ultra-luxe palettes, features several brand-new duo-chrome and metallic shades. “Bronze Solaris 005” is an updated take on McGrath’s original “Gold 001” eyeshadow (her very first release), while “Astral Venusian Orchid” is a sparkly mixture of peach champagne and chartreuse-gold. A second duo-chrome, “Astral Amethyst Moon,” shifts from blue-lilac to pink. Versatile mattes including rose “Secret Eden” and brown “Xtreme Plum Noir” can be layered under the palette’s crown jewel, a trio-chrome of magenta, bronze and chartreuse called “Blitz Sextreme.”
Complementing the palette, McGrath’s Intensifeyes Artistry Wand is an eyeshadow primer that arrives in an easy-to-use pen. An upgraded version of Mehron’s Mixing Liquid, the wand amplifies and sets eyeshadow, intensifying color and heightening metallics. Simply apply the clear formula onto the lid and layer shadow over it.
Pat McGrath Labs’s Mothership IX palette and Intensifeyes Artistry Wand will retail for $125 and $32 USD respectively. Keep an eye on the brand’s website for their release sometime in mid-August.
