The Best Street Style Looks From Copenhagen Fashion Week SS22
Sweater vests, kitschy jewelry and the green color trend are loved by almost every influencer.
The return of Copenhagen Fashion Week brought with it plenty of bold street style moments. Following a digital version of the event last season, a format change that was prompted by COVID-19, physical shows and their front row guests made their way back to the Danish capital earlier this week.
The breezy summer weather in Copenhagen calls for layering that’s lightweight enough to carry you from day to night. Model Mona Tougaard, for instance, wore a midriff-baring outfit with a statement jacket and accessories (we’re eyeing those FLATLIST sunglasses designed by stylist Veneda Carter). Some paired their sundresses with mesh tops and sweaters, while others relied on smart outerwear and knitwear — an oversized leather blazer, a vest jacket and even a wool bib — to keep warm.
The color trend of the moment, green — be it chartreuse, olive or fluorescent green — was evidently popular among the fashion set, but there’s more than one way to get in on the fun of color play. We spotted denim in delightful shades of purple and red, an argyle sweater vest with pops of bright pink and a cute crochet handbag in vivid orange.
Speaking of accessories, kitschy jewelry that evokes childhood memories was another standout trend. From hand-beaded necklaces and pearl bracelets, to lilac resin rings and an off-kilter mushroom earring by Safsafu, these pieces lent a touch of playfulness.
