Adidas Originals Revamps Archival Designs in Inaugural "Blue Version" Collection

The Beckenbauer tracksuit returns in blue and black.

Continuing to roll out its collaborative IVY PARK releases with Beyoncé, adidas Originals has now taken a deep dive into its archives to launch its inaugural “Blue Version” collection. The line kicks off with a series of tracksuits based on the iconic Beckenbauer style.

In the campaign visuals starring Ganna Bogdan and Duckwrth, the top-and-bottom set receives an update in blue and black. adidas’ signature Three Stripes take over each piece in contrasting white, while the Trefoil logo is stamped on the front. For women, the track jacket dons asymmetrical detailing at the front with a panel covering the zipper. The garment is paired with the premium cotton-twill Adibreak pants, which are highlighted with stirrup details for a fashion-forward look. As for men, functionality and style meet on the Quality Jacket and Firebird Track Pants. The range is complete with adidas’ own take on the trench coat, blending classic tailoring with sportswear.

Peep the “Blue Version” campaign above. The collection will launch globally on September 15 online and in stores.
