Marimekko x adidas Team Up on FW21 Activewear Collection
Spanning swimwear, tennis clothes and cycling apparel.
Marimekko and adidas have teamed up to release their second collaborative activewear collection for Fall/Winter 2021.
An extension of their first release back in May, the new range is splashed with the Finnish lifestyle brand’s signature floral print throughout. Marrying sportswear with style, the designs serve as accents to workout looks. “We are excited to reunite with adidas for this second limited-edition collaboration and introduce our most iconic print design, ‘Unikko,’ a true symbol of creativity, in sports apparel for the first time,” Marimekko’s CEO Tiina Alahuhta-Kasko shares in a statement.
The lineup is led by tracksuits in the “Unikko” print, which is also spotted on backpacks, caps and coral-colored hoodies. Similar details appear on sports bras and leggings with a tonal black theme, while swimwear pieces are covered in orange and pink hues. The collaboration is rounded out with reworked iterations of adidas’ staple sneaker silhouettes like the Stan Smith and the UltraBOOST 21.
