John Elliott's "Bright On The Inside" Collection Promotes Self-Love
Spanning denim jackets, pants and knitted vests.
John Elliott has unveiled his Spring/Summer 2022 collection featuring a range of outerwear, pants and vests.
Dubbed “Bright On The Inside,” the line was born in isolation last year. “Stuck at home, away from our faithful team and studio environment, I found myself surrounded by stacks of books and a small board to pin thoughts on,” Elliott shared in a press release. “I dove headfirst into images and stories that gave me a window into a brighter future. I’m not a Buddhist or particularly religious, but I quickly became attached to a large photo of the Dalai Lama. It felt hopeful — a symbol of what we all need to feel on the inside.”
Comprised of a muted color palette, the SS22 range comes with the brand’s signature apparel such as coats dressed in beige and dark green. Elsewhere, shirts made of various lightweight materials are complemented by leather jackets and denim styles. Knitted tops make an appearance, which come in the form of vests, turtlenecks and long-sleeve crop tops. The sports bras, striped cardigans and cargo pants round off the line.
The first drop of John Elliott’s SS22 collection will launch online on January 13.
