Studio Ghibli Announces the Opening Date of Its Theme Park
Comprising five sections referencing Hayao Miyazaki’s popular titles.
After much anticipation, Studio Ghibli has finally revealed the opening date of its theme park located in Nagakute city of Japan.
Ghibli Park will be divided into five main sections: Hill of Youth, Ghibli’s Large Warehouse, Mononoke’s Village, Valley of Witches and Dondoko Forest. As teased previously, each space will feature references to Hayao Miyazaki‘s classic titles such as Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Laputa: Castle in the Sky, Princess Mononoke and Howl’s Moving Castle. For the initial opening, guests will be able to access Hill of Youth, Ghibli Large Warehouse and Dondoko Forest, while the remaining two are scheduled to open in 2023.
