"I Wasn't Trying To Look Sexy," Doja Cat Responds to Criticism of Gold Makeup Look
Haters have commented that the look made her “look ugly.”
Doja Cat has been killing it in the beauty and fashion space, showcasing bold and daring looks with her shaved brows and most recently debuting a gold face-painted look at Paris Fashion Week. In response to her outfit and glam that the star wore to the A.W.A.K.E Mode show in the French capital, haters have commented that the makeup made her “look ugly.”
“The paint is making her look ugly. When you do makeup like this you still need to accentuate features. She look like a tired old statue lmao,” a user wrote on Twitter, at which Doja fired back. “I wasn’t trying to look sexy or attractive. All of my makeup has a story and there are absolutely 0 rules and if there were you wouldn’t be the one making them.”
The star’s look consisted of metallic gold paint all over her face and body, accompanied by her buzz cut. For her outfit, Doja wore a Simon Miller shearling coat, later changing into a white tee and jeans for her visit to the new Jacquemus boutique in the city.
