Jenna Lyons Joins 'The Real Housewives of New York'
Lyons will be the first queer Real Housewife — it’s about time.
Many of us know Jenna Lyons from her days spent at the helm of the iconic preppy brand J.Crew, but now, the former creative director will be joining the much meme-ified cast of The Real Housewives of New York.
While the show is no stranger to hosting entrepreneurs and business moguls as Bethenny Frankel was a longtime favorite for many. Lyons is comfortable in the limelight as the designer and icon starred in her own HBO Max show, Stylish with Jenna Lyons. The pivot certainly comes as a surprise to many, but will undoubtedly bring in a host of viewers, dying to see Lyons’ inimitable style as well as her potential interactions with the colorful cast.
“I know this is a really unusual and unexpected thing but thank you to everyone who has been so kind,” she said an Instagram video she posted on Monday.
Making Bravo history, Lyons will be the first queer housewife, so get your popcorn and martinis ready. Take a look at her announcement video below.
