Prince Harry Is Releasing a Tell-All Memoir: What You Need to Know About 'Spare'
Set to drop globally in January.
Penguin Random House has announced that Prince Harry is releasing a memoir titled Spare seemingly referencing the phrase “the Heir and the Spare.”
The memoir is expected to cover everything from Harry’s public life, present-day, childhood and major life-altering events, including the death of his mother, Princess Diana, in September 1997. At the time, Harry was a few days away from turning 13 years old.
The publishing company shared the following synopsis in a press release: “SPARE takes readers immediately back to one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow — and horror. As Diana, Princess of Wales, was laid to rest, billions wondered what the princes must be thinking and feeling — and how their lives would play out from that point on. For Harry, this is his story at last.”
The description continued, “With its raw, unflinching honesty, SPARE is a landmark publication full of insight, revelation, self- examination, and hard-won wisdom about the eternal power of love over grief.”
Spare will be released globally on January 10, 2023 via Penguin Random House.
