Selena Gomez Reveals What's Led Her to Depression
The singer gets candid about her mental health and upcoming documentary.
Selena Gomez has opened up about her mental health ahead of the premiere of her upcoming documentary, My Mind & Me. The singer-slash-actor admitted that her decisions have led her to struggle mentally.
“I think my past and my mistakes is what drives me into depression,” she recently told Vanity Fair.
However, she’s seeing the bright side of things. “As nervous as I am to put out something this personal, in my heart I know now is this time,” Gomez added. “I hope that by sharing my experience and difficulties, it will help people feel inspired to share their own stories. And to have hope that things can and will get better.”
In a trailer for the documentary, viewers can see the Only Murders in the Building star struggling with vulnerability. However, it’s for a good cause. While crying, she says, “I don’t want to be like super famous, but I do know that if I’m here I have to use that for good.”
My Mind & Me premieres on Apple TV+ on November 4.
