adidas x Rimowa Unveil First-Ever Collaboration

For the modern explorer.

adidas and RIMOWA have just revealed their inaugural collection, marking the first time the two German brands have joined forces. Driven by the urban adventurer’s fearless, unrelenting spirit, the debut range of outdoor accessories and footwear is designed to encourage exploration and facilitate mobility.

Entirely made in Germany, the collection offers RIMOWA’s first-aluminum backpack, alongside the adidas NMD_S1 sneaker. The bag puts function at the forefront without compromising on form, boasting a sturdy, grooved aluminum shell. The utility shoulders straps are padded for ultimate comfort and fitted with carabin and handy thumb loops. Meanwhile, the bag also features rope weight-baring straps and a helpful grab handle for ease of use. To maximize the possibilities for packing, the backpack includes a detachable gusset that gives way to two deep zipped pockets, in addition to a 16-inch laptop pocket inscribed with both brands’ logos.

As for the collection’s footwear component, the adidas NMND_S1 mirrors the bag’s titanium colorway, covering the Boost midsole in a pale base color. The shoe laces appear in a bold shade of orange to catch the eye on the otherwise minimalistic shoe. The “Made in Germany” imprint on the sneaker’s midsole reminds the wearers of the items’ origin and history.

Take a look at adidas x RIMOWA’s debut collaboration in the gallery above. The collection will be available to shop on Thursday, November 17 on adidas’ online store.
