Wait, Is Pete Davidson Being Edited Out of 'The Kardashians'?
Fans have some thoughts, particularly after *that* Met Gala episode…
The most recent episode of The Kardashians was pretty heavily focused on Kim Kardashian‘s laborious Met Gala process, detailing her journey to wearing Marilyn Monroe’s iconic dress.
But viewers noticed something a little weird about the whole thing, because Kim’s former boyfriend, Pete Davidson, was nowhere to be seen. Fans of the couple know that Kim’s trip to Ripley’s Believe It or Not! museum included Davidson at the time, thanks to some behind-the-scenes footage from TMZ, so why wasn’t he spotted in the episode?
It appears that pivotal scenes from the couple’s relationship may be getting edited out of the new season following their split, and potentially as a result of Davidson’s blossoming new romance with model Emily Ratajkowski.
That said, Kim has made it clear in previous episodes that Davidson wouldn’t be a major part of the show regardless. She said that “When cameras are on him it is like a skit or a role—it is not what he does. I will obviously talk about what is going on in my life and he’s a part of that. But I also respect that this is my job and this isn’t his job. You might get a glimpse here and there, but it is what it is.”
And Kim’s right, we have previously had glimpses of the comedian’s existence, whether or not Pete himself is actually in the scene. For example, in episode six, fans were treated to a sweet love note left by Davidson, which revealed Kim’s not-so-secret nickname for him.
We’ve still a couple of episodes of the Hulu show to go, so we’ll have to wait and see whether or not Kim’s former partner makes any more appearances.
