Aleali May Launches Her Own Apparel Line, MAYDE
Kicking off with wardrobe staples.
Aleali May, model, stylist and sneaker designer who has worked with names like Jordan Brand, has launched her very own apparel brand dubbed MAYDE.
Designed to be unisex, the new label is manufactured locally in Los Angeles and offers elevated wardrobe staples. In anticipation of the launch, the creative shared the inspiration behind MAYDE: “As a consumer, I’m always looking for options to blend with my daily looks and designer collectibles. As a designer, I’m recognizing that certain cuts on garments don’t exist yet. As a stylist, I work with artists that are on the go, constantly traveling and need something to layer or build on. Something quick and comfortable, but has those key details that make them unique. Even behind the scenes as a stylist, I need something to last me through those long days on set.”
A reflection of her personal style along with her love for her hometown, the inaugural MAYDE collection is comprised of basics like a bra top, ribbed tank and mid-length bike shorts. These pieces are accompanied by a cropped hoodie, oversized hoodie and jogger pants. All items for the first-ever release are dressed in a rich, cobalt blue hue while forthcoming drops will be an expansion of the pieces.
