'Love Is Blind' Fans Slam Zanab Over "Cuties Story" and Ruthlessly Reject Her Apology
Two tangerines and an Instagram apology.
At the end of Netflix’s Love Is Blind Season 3, Zanab opened up about alleged abuse from her former fiancee and show mate, Cole. However, after viewing the “Cuties Story” after the season finale, people are second-guessing her behavior.
“I did not stand up there and say no to the Cole that everyone got to see. There was a lot more,” she told People. ”I stand by everything I said,” she said confidently.
Detailing the alleged abuse and body shaming, Zanab revealed, “I’ve never had someone speak to me that way about my body or eating,” Zanab said. “That was very real for me. I did change what I was eating. I was just eating a banana. I did lose weight by the wedding day. It had nothing to do with fitting into my wedding dress.”
Absolutely stunned, fans began to rally for Zanab — especially at the reunion. Former cast members also jumped in agreement with her, defending her against Cole for behavior he denied ever existed. One, the tangerine scene and two, getting a woman’s phone number the night before his wedding.
But in the final moments of the finale, the Cuties scene flipped the script for viewers. In the scene that Zanab revealed was a form of abuse, Cole is seen suggesting they have a Love Is Blind wedding and a wedding in England to meet the remainder of her family. During the conversation, Zanab peels two oranges and Cole reminder her to “save her appetivo” so she doesn’t get full before their scheduled dinner. He asks her how much she ate that day and when she says “only a banana,” he replies concerned. Many questioned whether this was abusive behavior.
Granted, many abusers create a hostile environment and shame the reactions of others, so we’re not here to decide or judge. Also, showing this scene post-finale reminds us that there’s a lot we don’t see.
After producer’s shared the scene, fans took it upon themselves to slam Zanab via Twitter. She’s since shared her apology and fans are not here for her alleged lack of accountability. Read the apology and reactions below.

Zanab is insecure and the real orange scene proved it. It didn’t matter what Cole said after the Coleen situation Zanab was always going to hear it with her insecurities in mind. That was the least malicious conversation they’ve had. #LoveIsBlind

That bachelor party LIE is textbook gaslighting. Cole KNEW it wasn’t/couldn’t be true and needed people to defend him NOT to prove his case to Zanab, but because he couldn’t even trust his own memory anymore. #LoveIsBlind #LOVEISBLINDreunion #LoveisBlind3 pic.twitter.com/QTyhFhiu79

Humiliation is abuse, constantly berating and belittling your partner – whilst taking no accountability – is also abuse. Zanab got off on humiliating Cole in front of his friends and family and then again at the reunion.#LoveisBlindS3
