Could We Be Getting a Kim Petras and Lisa Collab?
The German singer-songwriter wants to work with the BLACKPINK star.
Kim Petras has made their future collaboration goals pretty clear, and the latest one appears to be Lisa from BLACKPINK.
The German-born, LA-based singer-songwriter shared a tweet that read “Blackpink [is] honestly [the] only music I listen to post-2019,” with a follow-up tweet which added, “my goal is a lalisa feature.”
Naturally, fans of both Petras and BLACKPINK were quick to respond, suggesting tracks for Petras to listen to and registering their interest in a collaboration between the pair. One fan said “f-ck yes black pink x kim petras 2023 we gotta manifest it,” with another confirming that “BLACKPINK is the standard.”
It’s been a pretty big year for both BLACKPINK and Lisa, with the group just wrapping up the North American leg of their Born Pink tour, and winning an MTV European Music Award for ‘Best Metaverse Performance.’ Lisa took home the award for ‘Best K-Pop,’ for her new solo project LALISA. Jennie’s also had a pretty successful year, becoming an Elle USA cover star and announcing her debut acting role for The Weeknd’s The Idol.
Similarly, Petras recently made trans history, becoming the first non-binary and openly trans artist to reach number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
