San Francisco's Chinatown Inspires This Special Edition Nike Air Force 1
Featuring a gradient Swoosh and midsole.
As part of a rollout in honor of the 40th anniversary of the Nike Air Force 1, the brand has unveiled a special edition silhouette honoring San Francisco‘s Chinatown neighborhood. Established in 1848, it is the largest Chinatown outside of Asia and the largest in North America. As such, it remains an integral part of United States history and serves as the hometown of a litany of culture-shifting creatives.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Chinatown” starts with an all-white base that serves as a backdrop for a debossed lotus flower at the heel. A gradient pink Swoosh adorns the lateral and medial sides with the hue carrying over onto the shoe’s midsole and heel branding. A special edition tongue tags adds to the elevated release, bearing Chinese characters atop a mini Swoosh. An icy translucent outsole rounds out the design perfectly.
Look out for the AF1 “Chinatown” to release in the coming months for an estimated retail price of $150 USD.
